Welcome to the Yscir Community Council Website
The community of Yscir comprises the hamlets of Aberyscir, Battle, Cradoc and Fennifach in their entirety.
It also includes parts of the hamlets of Aberbran and Pontfaen.
There are around 370 residents on the electoral roll.
The Yscir Community Council represents the community of Yscir. Yscir together with the communities of Trallong, Merthyr Cynog, Honddu Isaf and Llandew comprises the County Council ward called Yscir with Honddu Isaf and Llanddew. Iain McIntosh was elected as our County Councillor on 22 June 2017 and re-elected on 5 May 2022.
The Council has seven members, who are serving a term of 5 years. The next election is in May 2027.
